We are seeking experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technicians to join our site-based commissioning team. Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you will install, test, commission and troubleshoot E&I; systems on gas well heads and processing facilities.
Key responsibilities
Installing, testing and commissioning electrical and instrumentation equipment
Calibrating and testing field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level)
Testing and troubleshooting motors, switchgear, control panels and LV/HV distribution systems
Interpreting P&IDs;, loop diagrams and wiring schematics
Completing test records and commissioning documentation to a high standard
Working within permit-to-work systems, risk assessments and hazardous area requirements
Fault finding, root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions
About you
Trade qualification in Electrical and/or Instrumentation
Current Queensland Electrical Licence
Minimum 5 years' experience in oil and gas, petrochemical or heavy industrial environments,



with site commissioning experience
Strong knowledge of LV/HV systems, instrumentation calibration and intrinsically safe systems
Experience with PLC, SCADA and DCS systems preferred
Experience with completions or CMMS systems highly regarded
Strong safety focus, attention to detail and transparent communication
Current driver's licence; able to pass pre-employment medical and fitness assessments
