About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager Finance & Corporate Services, the Facilities Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership across the Bankstown Sports Group property portfolio.
This pivotal leadership role is responsible for driving facilities excellence, asset performance, capital planning, maintenance strategy, contractor governance and regulatory compliance across all sites.
Balancing long-term strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational oversight, you will ensure our venues remain safe, efficient, compliant and positioned to deliver exceptional experiences for members, guests and employees.
Leading a dedicated facilities team, you will play a critical role in protecting and enhancing the Group's significant property and asset investments while supporting future growth and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Facilities Department across seven hospitality venues and the Flinders Centre commercial office tower
Develop and execute long-term facilities, maintenance and asset management strategies
Maintain ownership of asset registers, lifecycle planning and capital replacement programs
Drive preventative,
reactive and statutory maintenance programs across all sites
Lead annual operating budgets, capital expenditure planning and financial forecasting
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, asset performance and cost effectiveness
Manage tender processes, procurement activities, service agreements and contractor relationships
Ensure compliance with all relevant building, safety, environmental and statutory obligations
Oversee facility upgrades, refurbishments, capital works projects and infrastructure improvements
Partner with operational leaders to align facilities outcomes with broader business objectives
Champion sustainability, ESG initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the Group
Serve as the senior escalation point for critical facilities issues and emergency maintenance matters
About You
You are a commercially astute Facilities Management professional with a proven track record leading complex, multi-site operations.
You bring a strategic mindset, strong technical capability and a passion for delivering high-performing, customer-focused environments.
Most importantly, you are a collaborative leader who can build strong relationships, drive accountability and influence positive outcomes across all levels of the business.
To be successful, you will have:
Minimum five years' experience in a senior Facilities Management leadership role
Experience managing large and diverse property portfolios across hospitality, commercial, retail, leisure or comparable sectors
Qualifications in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, Property, Construction or a related discipline
Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management,
maintenance planning and building services systems
Demonstrated success managing operating budgets, capital expenditure programs and financial performance
Experience leading procurement processes, contractor governance and complex service contracts
Strong understanding of WHS legislation, compliance frameworks, risk management and contractor safety
Excellent stakeholder engagement, leadership and people management skills
Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational delivery
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical and project management capability
Current driver's licence
RSA and RCG Competency Card, or willingness to obtain
