Your role as Assistant Service Manager
n
You'll work closely with the Executive Service Manager to ensure the smooth running of the service, from compliance and safety to people support and family engagement.
n
n
Act as the service's nominated Educational Leader, leading implementation of educational programmes and supporting high-quality practice across the service.
n
Support and develop educators to deliver exceptional outcomes for children.
n
Help ensure learning environments are safe, engaging and aligned with Nido's philosophy.
n
Support recruitment, onboarding and performance processes.




n
Maintain accurate staff and child records and support ongoing compliance.
n
Support WHS processes, safety checks, drills and risk management.
n
Provide operational leadership when the Executive Service Manager is absent.
n
Build positive relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
n
Lead by example through consistency, respect, intentionality, collaboration and speaking up.
n

What you'll bring
n
n
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA equivalent).
n
At least two years' experience as a Lead Educator or relevant leadership experience in ECE.
n
Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework.
n
Confidence supporting and developing teams.
n
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
n
Experience supporting compliance and operational processes.
n
Current WWCC and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
n
Please note: Any candidate employed from 1 October must provide evidence of completion of the mandatory National Child Safety Training via Geccko, including Foundation Training (courses 1&2) and Advanced Training (courses 3, 4 & 5), or be willing to obtain these certifications prior to employment.
