About the role
n
We are looking for Relief Security Officers to work at Homes Victoria sites spread across Melbourne. Duties include but are not limited to:
n
n
Monitor and authorise entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons
n
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates
n
Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
n
Provide assistance to residents and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
n
Enforce property rules and regulations to maintain order.
n
Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
n
Conduct regular inspections and write reports to ensure security and safety equipment is functioning properly.
n
Ability work across all sites of Homes VIC
n
n
Skills & experience
n
n
Demonstrated ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently and prior experience working in a challenging environment
n




Certificate II in Security Operations
n
Working with children check (or willing to apply for one)
n
Valid Security Licenceand First Aid and CPR
n
Full Australian working rights
n
Solid understanding of security protocols and procedures.
n
Excellent observational and surveillance skills.
n
Ability to operate security equipment and systems.
n
Good communication skills and the ability to report incidents clearly and accurately.
n
Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
n
n
