Addisons is seeking a self-motivated and passionate 2-year PQE Environment & Planning Solicitor on a full time, permanent basis. You will have the opportunity to work on diverse and interesting matters, with ongoing learning and development opportunities from senior practitioners who are widely recognised in their field, within a supportive and collaborative team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely on high profile and complex development projects. The team advises private and public sector clients on all aspects of environment, planning, compulsory acquisition and administrative law. Our client base includes blue chip companies as well as smaller privately owned entities.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting and working with partners and the senior lawyers in the team in meeting clients' objectives and deadlinesLegislation and case law research
Drafting advices, briefs to barristers and expert witnesses, Court documents and planning agreements
Assisting in the day to day conduct of litigation matters, including Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 Land and Environment Court proceedings and Supreme Court proceedings
Attending directions hearings, return of subpoenas and notices to produce
Providing advice and representation to clients in obtaining and implementing planning and environmental approvals.
To be considered for the role, you will have:
Admission to practice as an Australian lawyer and a current practising certificate
A passion for environmental and planning law
Solid drafting and analytical skills




An understanding of Land and Environment Court and/or Supreme Court litigation processes or willingness to learn
A common sense approach to problem solving and delivering practical solutions
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
An ability to work in a fast-paced workplace
The motivation to further grow and develop your legal skills
Enthusiasm and a positive, collaborative and proactive approach.
