Planetary Geophysics Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Geophysical Technician to join our team on projects across a range of locations throughout Australia.
n
The role will involve field-based data acquisition across multiple geophysical survey methods, including Magnetics, IP/Resistivity, EM, Gravity, and MT.
n
Key Responsibilities:
n
n
Acquisition and quality control of geophysical data across multiple survey types
n
Operation and routine maintenance of geophysical instrumentation
n
Working in remote and challenging field environments
n
Adhering to company Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) systems and procedures
n
n
Essential Experience & Qualifications
n
n
Minimum 7 years' experience in exploration geophysics
n
Demonstrated experience operating and maintaining geophysical equipment
n
Solid field experience in demanding and remote climates
n




Ability to work both independently and within a team, including leading crews of up to 10 geophysicists and technicians
n
Willingness to work away from home for extended periods (3+ weeks)
n
Physically fit and able to meet pre-employment medical and functional assessment requirements
n
Strong understanding of HSE requirements, including JSAs, risk assessments, inspections, audits, and reporting
n
Experience with Microsoft Office
n
Data QC and processing using industry-standard geophysical software
n
Experience using GIS software
n
n
Mandatory Certifications & Requirements
n
n
Current First Aid certificate
n
4x4 and UTV/ATV certificates
n
National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
