Sydney Tools is looking for a motivated Retail Trade Salesperson to join our Commercial team in Roselands.

About the Role
n
As a Retail Trade Salesperson, you'll help our customers find the right tools and equipment for the job.
n
Our customers range from professional tradespeople and contractors through to businesses and DIY customers, so every day brings something different.
n
You'll spend your time speaking with customers, understanding what they're trying to achieve and recommending products that suit their needs.
n
You don't need to know every product on day one. We'll provide training. What matters is that you're customer-focused, motivated to sell and willing to learn.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Assist customers in-store and over the phone
n
Provide practical advice on tools, equipment and accessories
n
Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products
n
Build strong relationships with trade and commercial customers
n
Identify opportunities to increase sales and encourage repeat business
n
Work towards individual and store sales targets
n
Keep up to date with new products, promotions and supplier ranges
n
Maintain a clean, professional and well-presented showroom
n
Assist with merchandising, stock presentation and general store operations
n
Resolve customer enquiries professionally and efficiently
n




Work collaboratively with the wider Roselands Commercial team
n
n
The position operates on a 10-day rotating roster, including one weekend day each week.
n
About You
n
You don't necessarily need years of retail experience.
n
If you understand tools, enjoy dealing with people and have the drive to succeed in sales, we want to hear from you.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
Experience in retail sales, trade sales, hardware, tools or customer service
n
OR a trade background with a desire to transition into sales
n
An interest in tools, power equipment, construction or the trade industry
n
Strong communication and people skills
n
A genuine desire to help customers find the right solution
n
Motivation to achieve sales targets and deliver solid results
n
Confidence using computers and point-of-sale systems
n
The ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment
n
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
n
n
Tool and trade product knowledge is highly regarded, but not essential.
n
