The business combines energy market expertise, quantitative analysis and technology to optimise a growing portfolio of assets.

An opportunity for an Energy Market Analyst to join a high-performing Energy Management team, focused on real-time market operations.
n
The Role:
n
n
Monitor and optimise trading strategies across the NEM and WEM
n
Analyse market conditions, constraints and competitor behaviour
n
Develop and test new trading and optimisation strategies
n
Work with quantitative and software teams to improve trading algorithms
n
Analyse large datasets using Python, SQL and visualisation tools
n
Support the development of trading,



forecasting and risk-management systems
n
n
About You:
n
n
Background in energy trading analysis, market analysis or quantitative modelling
n
Strong understanding of the NEM and AEMO dispatch
n
Python and/or SQL experience
n
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n
Degree in engineering, mathematics, science or similar
n
Work across both NEM and WEM markets
n
Solid pathway into quantitative and algorithm development
n
Work alongside experienced operations, quantitative and technology professionals
