About the Role
n
Macmahon Underground is returning to Current Zealand and seeking experienced Charge Up Operators to join the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand's South Island.
n
As part of this exciting opportunity, Macmahon will deliver underground development, production and backfill services from October ****.
n
We are looking for safety-focused operators with proven underground mining experience, including the operation of Normet charge-up equipment, to play a key role in our growing underground team.
n
Responsibilities




n
n
Safely and efficiently operate Normet explosive charging equipment.
n
Handle, transport, store, charge, and fire explosives and blasting agents in accordance with site procedures and legislative requirements.
n
Carry out development face and production stope charging activities while maintaining compliance with site blasting, evacuation, and safety standards.
n
Install and remove mine services and ventilation as required.
n
Complete pre-start inspections, identify and report hazards or equipment defects, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
n
Follow mine plans, supervisor instructions, and traffic management procedures to support safe and productive operations.
n

What You'll Bring

Minimum 12 months experience as a Charge Up Operator.
n
Demonstrated experience in development and production charging.
n
Strong safety focus and ability to speak up.

Valid Class 1 (unrestricted manual) New Zealand drivers licence (essential).
n
Valid Class 1 Explosive License Current Zealand (essential).
