StreetFX is looking for an Automotive Parts Sales & Customer Service team member to join our growing team in Darra.
n
No automotive sales or parts interpreting experience? No problem. We'll train you.
n
What we're really looking for is someone who knows and loves cars, communicates well, enjoys helping people and wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry.
n
Your knowledge might come from working on your own cars, modifying them, motorsport, 4x4ing, workshops, study, helping mates with builds or spending far too much time researching parts online.
n
If you know cars, we can teach you the sales side.
n
The Role
n
This isn't just answering phones and processing orders. You'll help customers work out what they need, research the right products and provide genuine solutions.
n
You'll be involved in:
n
n
Helping customers identify suitable parts and vehicle upgrades
n
Researching products, applications and vehicle fitment
n
Providing pricing, stock and availability information
n
Comparing products and explaining options
n
Preparing quotes and following up customers
n
Processing and tracking orders
n
Liaising with suppliers and our warehouse
n
Managing backorders, freight delays and ETAs
n
Assisting with returns, warranties and cancellations
n
Solving problems when things don't go to plan
n
Communicating with customers across phone, email, SMS and live chat
n
Assisting with picking,



packing and customer pickups when required
n
n
One customer might know the exact part number they need. The next might simply ask, "I want my car to handle better — what should I do?"
n
Your job is to ask the right questions, research the options and help them find the right solution.
n
What We're Looking For
n
You don't need to be a mechanic or experienced salesperson, but you do need a genuine automotive background and a good understanding of cars.
n
Ideally, you'll be comfortable talking about areas such as:
n
n
Engines and common components
n
Turbos and forced induction
n
Intake and exhaust systems
n
Suspension and handling
n
Brakes
n
Wheels and tyres
n
Driveline components
n
Performance modifications
n
Vehicle models and variants
n
4x4 accessories and upgrades
n
n
You'll also bring:

Great communication and people skills
n
Confidence speaking with customers
n
Strong computer and online research skills
n
Attention to detail
n
Good organisation and time management
n
The ability to juggle multiple customer enquiries
n
A willingness to learn and ask questions

Reliability and a strong work ethic

A genuine interest in building a career in automotive
n
n
Previous experience in automotive parts, workshops, dealerships, performance cars, motorsport, 4x4, automotive retail, customer service, e-commerce or sales is highly regarded, but not essential.
