The role
n
Reporting into the Payroll Team Leader and Payroll Manager, you'll enjoy working closely with a team of 4. Duties and responsibilities in the role will include:
n
n
Processing up to 900 timesheets on the on week and 400 timesheets on the off week
n
End to end processing of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
n
Maintain and update payroll master data (as advised via PIR)
n
Liaise with employees and managers to resolve payroll related queries
n
Perform payroll administration tasks, including onboarding new starters and processing leave forms
n
Calculate and process termination payments
n
Process salary increases and calculate back pay adjustments
n
Complete required payroll reporting, both routine and ad hoc
n
Calculate annual leave and long service leave provisions and accruals
n
Review payroll reports and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy prior to releasing bank files
n
Interpret awards and enterprise agreements, including overtime and allowances
n
Perform redundancy calculations
n
Respond promptly to a wide range of payroll enquiries from employees and the business
n

Your value
n
You will come from a background working in a Payroll Officer role for a medium to large scale business. You will also showcase the following attributes:
n
n
2+ recent years in a Payroll Officer role
n
Experience in a role where you've processed 500+ timesheets per week
n
Demonstrated business maturity and professional judgement
n
Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly
n
High attention to detail with a strong process-driven approach
n
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
n
Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
n
Ability to interpret legislation and Australian workplace agreements confidently
n
Excellent organisational, communication, and planning capabilities
n
n
