Based at Lindsay Transport's Derrimut workshop in Melbourne, the Workshop Supervisor will lead day-to-day maintenance operations, oversee repairs, mentor a team of skilled technicians, and ensure our fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

What You'll Do:
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced mechanic or workshop leader looking to take the next step in their career. You'll play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the workshop operates safely and efficiently
Supervise the inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair across a variety of fleet vehicles(prime movers, rigids,



trailers).
Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system faults.
Plan, prioritize, and allocate daily tasks to mechanics and service technicians.
Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and inventory of spare parts.
Ensure accurate completion of maintenance and repair documentation
Lead, mentor, and supervise workshop employees.
Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture.
What You'll Bring:
Mechanical Trade Qualification with advanced mechanical knowledge
Demonstrated experience leading workshop or maintenance teams
Strong ability to plan workloads, prioritise tasks, and drive productivity
Proven capability to mentor, develop, and motivate team members
Commitment to fostering a positive, high-performing team culture
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Solid focus on safety, compliance, and quality workmanship
HR and Forklift Licences highly regarded
Candidates must be currently residing in Australia or have full Australian working rights to be considered.
