Job Description
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment, takes initiative and is confident helping guide a team. Working closely with the Operations manager and management team, you will help the grocery team with day-to-day planning and direction, maintain high presentation standards, support staff and ensure the department is running efficiently, safely and with the customer at the forefront.

Key responsibilities

Take a leading role in the day-to-day operation of the Grocery Department
n
Help coordinate daily tasks, priorities and workflow to ensure the department operates efficiently
n
Provide guidance, support and direction to Grocery team members as required
n
Lead by example and help foster a positive, respectful and productive team environment
n
Assist with training and supporting new and existing team members
n
Monitor stock levels, assist with replenishment and ensure products are rotated and presented appropriately
n
Help maintain high standards of product availability, presentation, cleanliness and organisation
n




Ensure the high quality and appropriate display of all products
n
Assist with food safety, quality, cleaning and OH&S; checks as required, maintaining accurate records to meet compliance requirements
n
