We are looking for two experienced, mid-level Chefs to join our team at Coppabella Village, located in the heart of Queensland's Bowen Basin.

About the roles
n
We are seeking two capable mid-level Chefs who are comfortable working in a busy village kitchen and producing good-quality, consistent meals.
n
You will work as part of our catering team preparing meals for Village residents and guests, with a strong focus on quality, presentation, food safety and creating meals people look forward to.
n
Duties will include:
n
n
Prepare and present quality meals to menu standards.
n
Food preparation and stock rotation
n
Maintaining excellent kitchen hygiene and food-safety standards
n
Assisting with menu ideas and continuous improvement
n
Working collaboratively with the wider Village team
n
Helping us continue to improve the overall food and dining experience at Coppabella Village
n
Manage an allocated kitchen section.
n
Maintain quality, presentation and portion control.
n
Follow food safety, HACCP and hygiene requirements.
n
Complete required food safety records and checks.
n
Maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen.
n
Follow WHS procedures and report hazards.
n
Manage food storage, labelling and stock rotation.




n
Minimise waste and support food-cost control.
n
Receive and correctly store deliveries.
n
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and kitchen team.
n
Support and guide junior kitchen staff.
n
Communicate effectively during service.
n
Maintain kitchen equipment and cleaning standards.
n
Be reliable, punctual and flexible across kitchen sections.
n

About you
n
We are looking for people who are:
n
n
2 yrs+ experience and confident in a commercial kitchen
n
Reliable and able to work as part of a team
n
Practical, positive and willing to pitch in
n
Passionate about producing good, honest food
n
Comfortable with regional/community living
n
Looking for stability and ideally a longer-term opportunity
n
n
Relevant commercial cookery qualifications and previous experience in village, mining, hotel, pub, club, catering or high-volume kitchens would be highly regarded.
n
