About the New Graduate Role
n
We are looking for an enthusiastic New Graduate Physiotherapist to join our growing physiotherapy team in the South West of Sydney.
n
This is a full-time, permanent employee position commencing in **** as part of our established New Graduate Program.
n

Our 16-week onboarding program is designed specifically to help new graduates transition into community-based disability practice, with ongoing support well beyond your initial onboarding period.

Complex and compelling clinical presentations
n
Our caseload includes people living with conditions such as spinal cord injury, Parkinson's disease, motor neurone disease, Huntington's disease, cerebral palsy and rare neurological disorders, alongside a broad range of other disabilities and chronic conditions.
n
Variety in your caseload
n
Our capacity-building approach means you'll work with a diverse client base rather than providing ongoing maintenance therapy. Our clients range from approximately 2 to 70 years old, and no two days are the same.
n
A genuinely multidisciplinary environment
n
Work collaboratively with occupational therapists, exercise physiologists, dietitians, speech pathologists, behaviour support practitioners, support workers, support coordinators, GPs and other stakeholders.
n
Flexibility and autonomy
n
You'll work primarily in the community, with the flexibility to manage your own diary, work from home when appropriate and attend our team days once a month in the office with the rest of the team, while having access to a supportive team and management whenever you need assistance, no matter where you are.
n

You won't be expected to know everything when you graduate. Our aim is to provide you with the clinical support, supervision, training and experiences you need to build a strong foundation for your physiotherapy career.

Remuneration will be based on experience and will be well above award rates.

Your Responsibilities

Thoroughly assess the Physiotherapy needs of your clients
n
Design evidence-based Physiotherapy interventions for your clients
n
Deliver successful goal-driven Physiotherapy interventions for your clients
n
Engage enthusiastically in onboarding, training, professional development and mentoring opportunities
n

About You
n
We're looking for someone who is curious, compassionate, motivated and eager to learn.
n
Essential criteria
n
n
A passion for supporting people with disability as well as empathy, patience and a person-centred approach
n
Eligible for AHPRA registration as a physiotherapist upon graduation
n
Eligibility for Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA)
membership/accreditation
n
Ability to work independently while recognising when to seek support
n
Sound clinical reasoning and skilled judgement as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
n
Excellent organisation and time management as well as strong administrative and computer skills
n
Current National Police Check
n
Current Working With Children Check
n
Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
n
A SIRA Workers Compensation Approval Number (or willingness to obtain one)
n
n
Experience that would be highly regarded
n
n
Experience volunteering with, supporting or working with people with disability
n
n
