This is a Junior Drone Pilot position with Neurosight Robotics, a Gold Coast-based drone and robotics inspection company. The role suits someone early in their drone career who wants to grow into running smaller jobs independently — such as residential roof inspections — while also supporting senior pilots on larger commercial and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities
n
Independently operate on smaller, straightforward jobs (e.g. roof inspections) once trained and signed off
n
Assist senior pilots on-site with drone operations for larger asset and infrastructure inspections
n
Help set up, calibrate and maintain drone equipment and payloads
n
Capture and manage data/imagery for inspections, surveys and 3D scanning
n
Follow safety procedures and site-specific requirements across a variety of environments
n
Communicate directly with clients on straightforward jobs where required
n
Travel to project sites across Queensland and occasionally interstate
n
About you
n
A genuine interest in drones, robotics and aerial/industrial inspection technology
n
RePL and AROC preferable but not essential – full training and licensing support provided
n




Able to work independently and use positive judgement once trained, particularly on lower-risk jobs
n
Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, and in a range of site environments
n
Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong communicator with clients
n
Physically fit and willing to travel for project work
n
A current driver's licence is highly regarded
n
Prior drone flying experience (recreational or otherwise) is a bonus but not essential
n
Full training and support to obtain your RePL and industry certifications
n
A genuine pathway to running your own jobs independently, starting with simpler work like roof inspections
n
Hands-on exposure to cutting-edge drone, robotics and inspection technology
n
Mentorship from experienced commercial drone pilots
