We are currently seeking chefs to support Residential Aged Care Facilities in Geelong and surrounding regional areas. About You
n




You will have experience running a kitchen within an Aged Care Facility which will ensure you feel comfortable stepping in to manage all facets of Food Services. You will have the ability to lead the day-to-day production with the assistance of kitchen hands and accept responsibility for the smooth running of the kitchen.

The Role
n
n
Prepare and cook meals, ensuring that food is prepared safely and hygienically, and that it meets quality standards.
n
Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, and inspect food supplies to ensure freshness and suitability for consumption.
n
Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that they follow food safety protocols and hygiene standards.
n
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and other relevant legislation governing food service in Aged Care Facilities.

Requirements
n
n
Minimum of 3 months paid experience in Aged Care
n
Minimum of Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or Cert IV in Commercial cookery/ Diploma in hospitality)
n
Food Safety and Handling Certificate
n
Valid National Police Check
n
Fully COVID-19 vaccinated (in line with state requirements)
n
Valid driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and mobile phone
n
n
Willing to work short-term contracts across Regional Victoria
