At Munro Footwear Group (MFG), we're looking for a
Management Accountant
to join our Finance team and play an important role supporting financial performance and decision making across the business.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role will see you working closely with stakeholders across MFG, providing meaningful financial analysis, reporting and insights to help teams understand performance and make informed commercial decisions.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers, building relationships across a business and identifying opportunities to improve the way things are done.
What you'll be doing
Prepare and analyse monthly management reporting, providing explicit commentary on business performance
Complete variance analysis across actual results, budgets and forecasts
Partner with cost centre owners and Department Heads to help them understand and manage their financial performance
Prepare monthly management and ad hoc reporting to support business decision-making
Participate in the annual budgeting process and support forecasting, review and challenge
Act as a Finance representative on relevant business projects




Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, systems, controls and reporting
Work collaboratively across the wider Finance team to continually improve service delivery
About you
3-5 years' relevant accounting experience
A tertiary qualification in accounting and CA or CPA qualification
Strong management accounting experience, including month-end reporting, analysis and commentary
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience within retail, FMCG or another multi-site environment will be highly regarded
