Longreach Hospital in Queensland is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant specialising in Child and Youth Mental Health to join their team on a five-week contract. This is a fixed-term opportunity running from 19 October to 23 November ****, offering the chance to make a real difference in a specialist mental health setting serving young people in regional Queensland.
Specialist child and youth mental health nursing in a regional hospital setting
Five-week contract role with defined dates and clear scope

Preferred Requirements
Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and demonstrated experience in child and youth mental health




Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills in mental health nursing
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a regional healthcare setting
Sound communication skills and capacity to support both young people and their families
Flexibility and adaptability in a contract role with a defined timeframe
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Post-graduate qualification or specialist training in mental health or child and youth mental health nursing
Experience working in a hospital or acute mental health setting, particularly with young people
