We're looking for someone who loves the thrill of the chase.
Someone who doesn't wait for opportunities to come their way. Someone who gets a genuine buzz from building relationships, opening doors, winning business, and seeing the results of their effort reflected in their sales numbers.
Our client is a respected name in the heavy equipment industry with a strong reputation, quality products, and an established customer base. They've already got a highly successful salesperson on the team who brings structure, process, and consistency. What they're looking for now is someone who brings a different dimension.
Someone who wants to get in front of customers, create opportunities, uncover needs, and turn conversations into sales. Someone who understands that success in this industry comes from being visible, building relationships, and being the first person customers think of when they're ready to buy.
The products speak for themselves, but this role is about getting them in front of the right people.
Ideally, you'll come from truck sales, however experience selling agricultural machinery, earthmoving equipment, trailers, construction equipment, fleet vehicles, or other heavy assets will also be highly regarded. You'll already know how to walk onto a site, strike up a conversation, build credibility quickly, and talk confidently about equipment and its real-world application.
You'll be dealing with everyone from owner-operators through to fleet managers, helping customers find the right solution while building long-term relationships that generate repeat business. This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk waiting for leads. It's for someone who enjoys being out in the market, meeting customers, growing accounts, chasing opportunities, and backing themselves to succeed.
Beyond building relationships and generating sales, you'll oversee the process from enquiry through to delivery, managing registration paperwork, stock documentation, and the details that ensure each transaction runs smoothly and professionally.
The person who will thrive in this role is naturally proactive and highly motivated. You'll probably have a competitive streak and genuinely enjoy the challenge of winning business.
You're comfortable engaging with customers at every level, can build trust quickly, and bring the kind of industry knowledge that gives customers confidence in your advice. Above all, you're commercially minded, skilled in your approach, and take pride in representing both yourself and the brand you're working for.
In return, you'll be joining an established business with an excellent reputation, quality products, and a loyal customer base. The role offers a $70,000 base salary, with a commission structure of 10% on sales after the initial six-month period, giving the right person the opportunity to directly influence their earning potential.
If you're the type of salesperson who thrives on winning business, enjoys being out with customers, and wants a role where your effort genuinely determines your success, we'd love to hear from you.
