Please note: This is position is temporary for 6 months and is only open to Australian residents or those already with working rights.
This position will join Council's GIS team and will help to provide advanced spatial analysis, modelling and geospatial data development services. It will assist in managing and maintaining the Council's GIS environment and infrastructure and help to deliver ongoing improvements in our GIS capabilities.
The successful candidate will work on a mixture of business lead GIS projects to support planning, asset, infrastructure and environmental teams as well as technical projects to improve our GIS infrastructure.
Tertiary qualifications relevant to the position,



or equivalent experience in spatial analysis or geospatial role. Proven knowledge and experience in the use of GIS software tools (Council currently utilises MapInfo and QGIS) to deliver spatial analysis and data. Solid problem-solving background and experience in understanding and documenting business requirements.
Remuneration
base salary commencing at $100,301 gross per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
+ annual award increase
