RFCTech is looking for an experienced Fibre Optic Technician to join our small, established team.
n
We're seeking someone with genuine hands‐on fibre optic experience who is confident working independently, but equally comfortable working alongside others when required. This is a practical, site‐based role for someone who can take ownership of their work, solve problems and consistently deliver a high‐quality result.

Experience working on NBN infrastructure is highly regarded.

About the role
n
Your work will include:
n
n
Installing, terminating and testing fibre optic cabling
n
Fibre splicing, fault-finding and repairs
n
Reading plans and following project specifications
n
Completing accurate job records, test results and documentation
n
Working independently across allocated jobs and client sites
n
Collaborating with other technicians and trades when required
n
Maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and site presentation
n
Communicating clearly with clients, contractors and the RFCTech team
n
n
About you
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:

Demonstrated hands‐on fibre optic experience
n
Experience with fibre splicing, termination, testing and fault‐finding
n
NBN experience preferred
n
The ability to work confidently and independently
n
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
n
Strong attention to detail
n
Accurate and thorough documentation skills
n
A practical, reliable and solutions‐focused approach
n
Positive communication and time‐management skills
n
A current Australian driver's licence
n
A current White Card
n
n
Relevant telecommunications registrations, endorsements and industry qualifications will be highly regarded.
