All Saints Primary in Tumbarumba is looking for an Aboriginal School and Community Educator to undertake a Permanent, Part time position to work with school communities and provide a welcoming and safe place for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children, commencing ASAP.

Your New Role
This role exists to support All Saint's Tumbarumba Primary to provide a welcoming and safe place for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and their children. As the school is located in Wiradjuri (and Yorta Yorta) country, in accordance with our tradition, the term Aboriginal will be used to refer to both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, parents and carers. The Aboriginal School and Community Educator (ASCE) will engage in opportunities which support the learning,



pastoral and spiritual wellbeing of Aboriginal students, their families and community. Communication with Aboriginal families, school personnel and forming partnerships with local Aboriginal organisations and Elders is essential.

Position Requirements
Essential
Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be able to engage and connect with Aboriginal Elders and local community organisations
Supportive of the purpose, vision and values of Catholic Education
The ability to work independently, supportively and collaboratively with all community members
Effective communication skills in a variety of settings
Current NSW Drivers Licence
NSW Working with Children Check
Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
Accreditation for Support Staff in a Catholic School (Category A,



Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools , Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga) or willing to achieve.
