Join the Security Department at Blacktown Hospital, supporting a 24-hour, 365-day security service across the Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital precincts. You will be part of a team committed to creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff.

What you'll be doing
n
As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional and responsive security service across the hospital precinct. You will play an important role in protecting people and assets while supporting a safe environment for healthcare delivery.
n
Conduct internal and external security patrols and drive the security vehicle when required
n
Respond promptly to requests for assistance, incidents and hospital emergency codes
n
Provide escorts and protection services for staff, patients and visitors
n
Monitor CCTV, access control and security systems, and complete accurate incident reports and logs
n
Assist with security audits, equipment testing, risk assessments and safety initiatives
n

NSW Security Licence 1A
n
Current First Aid Certificate
n
Selection Criteria
n
Licensed according to the Security Industry Act **** Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A.
n
Current Senior First Aid Certificate.
n
Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia.
n
Demonstrate intermediate level computer operating skills e.g. through experience with contemporary electronic security alarm monitoring systems (Access building control, CCTV surveillance, data entry, and Radio communications).
n
Customer service skills with a high degree of personal integrity and motivation and willingness and ability to carry out tasks of a physical nature as described in Job Demand List.
n
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, follow directions and work without close supervision.
n
Sound communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and report writing skills. Skills related to escalating a problem to the appropriate line of management.
