Allied Health Receptionist – Hervey Bay (Casual Position)
An chance exists for a suitably qualified receptionist to work in a modern, fast paced allied health practice. The receptionist is the first point of contact for our valued clients and as such, we place the utmost importance on ensuring they receive a professional, compassionate, and friendly service by delivering a positive patient experience at all times.
We are seeking a person who possesses the following:

A caring and compassionate nature
Reliable, punctual, and well presented
Polite and clear phone manner
Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal and written
Ability to manage a busy work environment
Exceptional time management and organisational skills
Ability to maintain a high level of composure, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times
Proven ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping is essential
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills – notably Microsoft office suite and the ability to easily learn new programs is essential




Ability and willingness to learn new skills and participate in training as required
Prior experience in a similar role/environment will be highly regarded.
Previous experience using Nookal is advantageous and will be highly regarded.
Previous experience in medical billing programs in a health care setting (HICAPS/Medicare/DVA/Workcover and insurance claims) is advantageous and will be highly regarded
You will be responsible for the following:
Greeting clients and recording accuratedetails
Answering the phone, making calls and appointments
Managing and maintaining accurateclient records using the Practice Management Software (Nookal)
Patient billing and payment collection
Managing confidential records
Supporting allied health professionals with administrative tasks and client care
Liaising with other health professionals and external stake holders as required.
