Job Description
As our Ecommerce Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day performance, trading and growth of our website across our markets. You'll be responsible for driving revenue, conversion, customer acquisition, retention and profitability online, while making sure the site consistently reflects our brand. This is a hands-on role within a lean Ecommerce team, and is a excellent next step for an ecommerce professional looking to grow into a broader, management role.

Key responsibilities
n
Own the commercial performance of the website across our markets, driving achievement of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and profitability targets
n
Build and manage the annual ecommerce trading calendar, aligned with product launches, new arrivals, campaigns and key retail moments
n
Monitor trading performance regularly, spot opportunities or risks early, and put together clear action plans when trading is ahead or behind target
n
Own the day-to-day management and trading of the Shopify website, ensuring the site is continually optimised
n
Test and improve the digital experience on an ongoing basis to increase conversion
n
Work with your developer to manage technical improvements, integrations and site development, and make sure new products, imagery, copy, pricing and product information are accurate and launched on time
n
Own online merchandising across all categories, analysing product performance to ensure bestsellers, recent arrivals and key commercial products get the visibility they need
n
Manage relationships with agencies and other external partners supporting the online store
n
Develop and manage a CRM strategy focused on customer retention and lifetime value
n
Own the email and marketing calendar
n
Help manage the ecommerce spending including platform, app, marketing and agency costs, keeping expenditure within approved limits
n
Ensure the online store complies with relevant consumer law, privacy and payment security requirements
n




Keep an eye on ecommerce trends, competitor activity and emerging technology to spot opportunities for the business
n
Prepare regular reporting on ecommerce performance, projects and initiatives for senior leadership
n
What we're looking for
n
Experience in Ecommerce Coordinator, Ecommerce Specialist or Ecommerce Manager role
n
Experience working with Shopify
n
Good understanding of ecommerce trading, merchandising and conversion rate optimisation
n
Comfortable interpreting web analytics and trading data (e.g. Google Analytics) to inform decisions and spot risks or opportunities early
n
Hands-on experience across digital marketing channels, such as SEO, email/ or paid social/search
n
Experience developing or managing a CRM or customer retention strategy is highly regarded
n
Experience leading, mentoring or coordinating others is desirable
n
Comfortable managing agency or other external partner relationships
n
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously
n
Basic budgeting skills, with an understanding of managing costs within an approved budget
n
Working knowledge of ecommerce compliance requirements, including consumer law, privacy and payment security, is a plus
n
Tertiary qualification in marketing, ecommerce, business or a related field is desirable but not essential
