Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer / Shift Engineer looking to take the next step in your hospitality engineering career?

We're currently recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join the engineering team of a prestigious luxury hotel in Sydney CBD. This is a rotating day and night shift position, so flexibility across both shift patterns is essential.

About the Role
n
Working as part of the hotel's Engineering team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the property, plant and equipment are maintained to a high standard and that any maintenance issues are responded to quickly and effectively.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across the hotel
n
Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical, HVAC and general maintenance issues
n
Responding to guest and operational maintenance requests
n
Conducting regular inspections of plant, equipment and building services
n
Supporting the wider Engineering team with repairs and minor projects
n




Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
n
Maintaining accurate records of maintenance works
n
Working closely with hotel departments to minimise disruption to guests
n
Supporting the hotel's commitment to exceptional guest service
n
n
About You
n
We're looking for someone with a strong practical maintenance background who enjoys working in a busy environment.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Previous experience as a Shift Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Hotel Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar
n
A recognised electrical or mechanical trade qualification (essential)
n
Strong general maintenance and troubleshooting skills
n
Electrical, mechanical, HVAC or building services experience
n
Previous hotel or commercial property experience is highly desirable
n
Excellent communication and customer service skills
n
A proactive, hands-on approach to maintenance
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Flexibility and willingness to work across both day and night shifts on a rotating roster
n
