Would like to manage a Convenience Store in a Remote Community

Both have a manual car licence and one has a forklift licence (or capable of getting one)

Then we have a vacancy at our Pormpuraaw Convenience Store
n
The role is to manage the operations of the store, including daily trading and activities as well as managing sales, margins and expenses.
n
Free accommodation and utilities are provided and consist of a 2 bedroom residence. The store trades 5 days per week (Wednesday to Sunday).

Please note that Pormpuraaw is a community with an Alcohol Management Plan

THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION ARE TO:
n

Operate the store within established standards
n
Provide superior customer service
n
Stock ordering and rotation
n
Checking and acceptance of stock deliveries
n
Perform stock takes
n
Manage cash handling and banking
n
Manage the ATM machine
n
Effectively utilise the point of sale system
n
Manage accounts and invoices
n
Prepare reports and other written correspondence
n
n
IDEALLY, YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:
n
n
Planning and organisational skill suitable for a retail setting
n
Basic Word and Excel skills
n
Experience with a point of sale system (Swiftpos program used)
