Bright Start Childcare and Early Learning Centre is seeking an Experienced Early Childhood Educator - Diploma Qualified or experienced working toward to join our team in Warrnambool, VIC. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young children and their families. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating nurturing, engaging and inclusive environments where children can learn, develop and thrive during their crucial early years.

What you'll be doing
n
n
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences that promote children's cognitive, emotional, social and physical development
n
Create safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environments that encourage exploration, creativity and curiosity
n
Build positive relationships with children and support their individual learning needs and interests
n
Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, development and experiences at the centre
n
Work collaboratively with other educators and staff members to ensure consistent care and educational standards
n
Support children's emotional wellbeing and help them develop social skills and resilience
n
Maintain accurate and comprehensive observations and documentation of children's development and learning
n
Implement health, safety and hygiene practices in accordance with regulatory requirements
n
Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain currency with best practices in early childhood education
n
Contribute to the continuous improvement of centre policies and practices
n

What we're looking for
n
n
A recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification
n




Demonstrated experience working with children in early childhood education and care settings
n
Strong knowledge of child development theories and contemporary early childhood pedagogies
n
Ability to create inclusive, respectful and engaging learning environments that support all children's development
n
Excellent communication skills with children, families and colleagues
n
A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their learning and wellbeing
n
Sound understanding of child safeguarding, health and safety regulations and legislative requirements
n
Ability to plan, implement and evaluate learning programs that are responsive to children's needs and interests
n
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Flexibility, patience and a calm approach to working with young children
n
Current First Aid certification and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
