Dirk's is growing, and South Bank is next.
n
Following the launch of our first store at Buranda Village, we're now building the opening leadership team for our second Brisbane location, planned to open in South Bank this October.
n
Dirk's is a new Australian fast-casual brand serving damn good hot dogs, sides, house sodas and soft-serve, all with big flavour, cheeky energy and a genuine love of dogs.
n
We're looking for casual Shift Leaders who can help us launch the store, build a strong team and set the standard from day one.
n
You might already be a Shift Leader, Supervisor or Team Leader. Or you might be a strong hospitality or food retail team member who is ready to step up and take on more responsibility.
n
The role
n
As a Shift Leader, you'll help run shifts and keep the Pack moving.
n
You'll be hands-on across the store, leading service, allocating stations, managing breaks, coaching Team Members, solving customer issues and keeping standards high when things get busy.
n
Leadership at Dirk's does not mean standing back and pointing. It means setting the pace, jumping in where needed and helping the people around you perform at their best.
n
This will initially be a casual role, with the potential for strong performers to move into part-time leadership or future management opportunities as Dirk's grows.

What you'll do
n
n
Lead rostered shifts with energy, pace and control
n
Allocate stations and keep service flowing smoothly
n
Coach and support Team Members during service
n
Bring our service model to life: Hello, Hustle, Heart
n
Maintain product quality, speed, accuracy and presentation
n
Manage breaks, shift priorities and customer recovery
n
Support opening, closing, cash handling and food safety routines
n
Help train and onboard new Team Members
n




Keep in-store and third-party delivery orders moving
n
Maintain a clean, organised and safe store
n
Escalate issues clearly to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager
n
Bring the PACK Way to life every shift
n
n
What we're looking for
n
You'll ideally have some experience in:
n
n
QSR or fast food
n
Fast-casual dining
n
Hospitality or cafés
n
Food retail
n
Dessert, bubble tea or another high-volume customer environment
n
n
Previous leadership experience is valuable, but it is not essential if you can demonstrate that you are ready to step up.
n
Most importantly, you are:
n
n
Reliable and on time
n
Calm and useful under pressure
n
Confident communicating with customers and teammates
n
Comfortable giving clear direction and feedback
n
Hands-on and willing to jump into any station
n
Organised and able to manage competing priorities
n
High-energy without being chaotic
n
Fair, respectful and accountable
n
Keen to learn and take on more responsibility
n
n
Availability requirements
n
We're ideally looking for people who can commit to at least 15 hours per week.
n
You'll need flexibility across a rotating roster, including some:
n
n
evenings;
n
weekends;
n
public holidays;
n
opening and closing shifts; and
n
compulsory pre-opening training activities.
n
n
Our initial trading hours are expected to be around 10am to 9pm, with the potential for later Friday and Saturday trading and breakfast shifts in future.

Training and start timing
n
Dirk's South Bank is planned to open in October ****.
n
Successful applicants will need to be available for compulsory paid induction, leadership training, store preparation and soft-launch activities before opening.
n
Final dates may shift slightly depending on store handover. Some pre-opening training may take place at our Buranda Village store.
n
RSA requirement
n
All Shift Leaders must hold, or be willing to obtain, a valid Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.
n
If you do not already hold an RSA, we can provide access to a discounted course through our preferred training partner. The cost of obtaining the qualification remains the team member's responsibility.
