Mars Recruitment is partnering with a company who is currently seeking a Collections Officer to join a well-established financial services business on a 6-month contract.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in collections, customer service or financial services who is confident managing customer conversations, negotiating payment arrangements and working through overdue accounts.
About the role You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of overdue customer accounts, working directly with customers to understand their circumstances and find appropriate repayment solutions.
Key responsibilities will include: Contact customers by phone, email and other channels regarding overdue accounts Negotiate and establish appropriate payment arrangements Discuss customers' financial circumstances and identify hardship or repayment options Monitor agreed payment plans and follow up on outstanding payments Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the CRM Handle customer enquiries,



disputes and sensitive conversations professionally Escalate complex or higher-risk accounts where required Work closely with internal teams including Loan Servicing, Customer Service, Risk, Legal and Compliance Ensure all collections activity is conducted in line with company policies and regulatory requirements Work towards agreed collections and customer service KPIs About you Ideally experienced within mortgages, consumer lending or financial services Experienced in collections, debt recovery, customer service or financial services Comfortable having difficult or sensitive conversations with customers Confident negotiating payment arrangements and repayment solutions Skilled, empathetic and customer-focused Confident using CRM or collections systems If you're available for a new contract opportunity and enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, we'd love to hear from you.
