Hunter Manning are partnering with a respected Perth business to find someone who can step in and make an immediate impact.
You'll be part of an approachable, close-knit finance team, supporting month-end, reconciliations and reporting.
The ideal person is proactive, quick to pick up new systems and processes, and takes real care in the quality of their work.
What you'll be doing Assisting with month-end close, including preparing journals, accruals and prepayments Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations Completing bank reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing depreciation Preparing GST and BAS workings for review Supporting accounts payable and receivable when needed Assisting with management reporting and basic variance analysis Helping prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation Answering finance queries from internal staff and external stakeholders What you'll need At least 2 years' experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role A degree in Accounting or Finance, or working towards CA/CPA (preferred) Confidence with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, SAP or similar Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables A solid understanding of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations Strong attention to detail and positive organisational skills Clear, friendly communication skills The ability to work independently and manage your own deadlines Availability to start immediately or at short notice Full Australian working rights and based in Perth We look forward to your application!
