About the Role AAROHA COMMUNITY SERVICE PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Care Officer to join our team on a full-time basis.
The successful applicant will provide high-quality, person-centered care and support to residents, assisting them to maintain their independence, dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide person-centered care and support according to individual care plans.
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal care, mobility, dressing, grooming and meal-related support.
Support residents to maintain independence and participate in daily activities.
Observe residents' physical, emotional and behavioural wellbeing and report relevant changes to appropriate senior staff.
Work collaboratively with registered nurses, healthcare professionals, families and other support staff.
Assist with implementing individual care and support plans.
Maintain accurate progress notes, care records and other required documentation.
Support residents with social, recreational and community participation activities.
Promote residents' dignity, privacy, choices, cultural needs and personal preferences.
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and changes in residents' support needs.
Follow workplace health and safety, infection-control and organisational policies and procedures.
Maintain professional and respectful relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
Skills and Experience The successful applicant should have: A relevant qualification in community services,



individual support, disability, aged care or a related field.
Relevant experience providing residential, disability, aged-care or community-based support.
Demonstrated ability to provide person-centered care and assistance with daily living activities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Understanding of dignity, privacy, choice, independence and duty of care.
Ability to maintain accurate care documentation and follow individual support plans.
Current police clearance and other mandatory checks applicable to the position.
Australian driver's license, where required for the duties.
At least one year of full-time relevant work experience is required for this role.
Minimum of Diploma in Community Service, Disability, Aged Care or Individual Support.
