Within a Primary Health Care framework and in accordance with Agency and Organisational policies and legal requirements the Diversional Therapy Assistant will provide support for, and assist, the Adult Day Centre (ADC) Coordinator/Diversional Therapist by undertaking a range of duties involved with planning and implementing individual client care, activities and group programs.
The Team
A part-time Diversional Therapy Assistant is required for a fixed term, to support our Latrobe Adult Day Centre team.

The Adult Day Centre focuses on working with clients to develop and provide client focused activities, social engagement and bus outings to enhance their wellbeing and social connection as well as supporting carers.
You will work with a small team to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.
The Role
The Adult Day Centres are a service within the Primary Health Team North West, working with clients to identify their needs, develop and provide them with social engagement and support, with a wellness and reablement focus, in a centre environment.
Diversional Therapy Assistants contribute to, develop and deliver the Centre program, in collaboration with clients and coordinator,



maintain client records, work with clients to develop individual care plans and are expected to abide by the care standards prescribed by Adult Day Centre funding programs.
You will need
Strong desire to work with community clients in a social setting
Be adaptable and team focused
Proficient computer skills and ability to learn computer systems required for the position
Details of appointment
Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 15 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us until 28 August ****.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
$70,033 to $75,114 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withPublic Sector Union Wages Agreement ****
