We are seeking an experienced, reliable and passionate Cook to join our small family-owned childcare centre in Turramurra on Sydney's Upper North Shore. Caring for up to 40 children each day, we are committed to providing nutritious, healthy meals in a warm and supportive environment.

Position Details /n

/n

- Permanent part-time position

/n

- Monday to Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm (20 hours per week)

/n

- Preparing meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 years

/n

- Following an established set menu and dietary guidelines

/n

Key Responsibilities /n

/n

- Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks

/n

- Cater for children with allergies, cultural requirements and special dietary needs

/n

- Maintain high standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene

/n

- Manage kitchen supplies and food preparation efficiently

/n

- Work collaboratively with centre staff

/n

Essential Requirements /n

/n





- Current NSW Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain before commencement)

/n

- Australian permanent residency, Australian citizenship, or a valid working visa

/n

- Ability to complete National Child Safety Training through Geccko (mandatory for all childcare staff) - this must be completed within 2 weeks of starting in the role.

/n

- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, or willingness to obtain

/n

Preferred Qualifications /n

/n

- Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent

/n

- Previous experience preparing meals in a childcare, school, aged care or similar setting

/n

- Robust organisational and time management skills, ability to multitask

/n

- Excellent communication skills and a positive team-focused attitude

/n
