Shelford Campus

Opening in 2027 in the heart of Caulfield, Shelford Campus will be the newest Junior School of Caulfield Grammar School. The campus will initially offer exceptional education for students in Prep and Years 4-6, before progressively growing into a full Prep to Year 6 Junior School. This represents a once-in-a-career opportunity for a founding team to shape the culture and community from the ground up, delivering high-impact learning in purpose-built facilities.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support student learning and contribute to the establishment of an exceptional learning environment at our new Shelford Campus.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus, the Educational Assistants will provide effective day-to-day classroom support that enhances student learning and helps deliver engaging and well-organised teaching programs. Working under the direction of classroom teachers, you will support students across a variety of learning settings while contributing to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

You will work closely with teachers and year level teams to support student engagement, prepare learning materials, maintain classroom documentation, and assist with communication initiatives. Through your proactive and professional approach,



you will help ensure students are supported to achieve their best outcomes.

Multiple part-time, term-time opportunities are available, commencing 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support students in a variety of learning environments under the guidance of classroom teachers.
- Assist year level teams as an active and collaborative member of the learning community.
- Prepare classroom materials and resources to support teaching and learning programs.
- Maintain relevant documentation and records relating to student learning and behaviour.
- Communicate observations of student learning and progress with teachers as appropriate.
- Prepare and upload classroom communications.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to promote effective teaching strategies and student engagement.
- Support individual students and small groups to access and participate in learning programs.
- Assist with the delivery of broader curriculum experiences, including year level events, incursions and excursions.
- Attend Educational Assistant meetings and contribute positively to team collaboration.
- Participate in professional learning and development opportunities as directed by the School.
- Uphold the School's commitment to Child Safety, ensuring the wellbeing, safety and dignity of all students at all times.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Employment Working with Children Check.
- Certificate III in a related field.
- Previous school-based experience in similar position will be highly regarded.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.




- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to build positive relationships.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to work.
- Self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness.
- Proficiency in the use of digital technology.
