Lismore Base Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Child and Adolescent Mental Health team on a 12-week contract basis, commencing as soon as possible and concluding on 21 December 2026. This is an opportunity to deliver specialised mental health care to young people in a supportive clinical environment based in Lismore, NSW.

- Specialised child and adolescent mental health nursing in a dedicated inpatient or community setting
- 12-week contract role with flexible start date to suit the right candidate
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to evidence-based youth mental health care

Preferred Requirements

- Strong, demonstrated experience in child and adolescent mental health nursing
- Current VPM (Violence Prevention and Management)

- Ability to work effectively with young people experiencing acute mental health presentations
- Sound clinical assessment skills and capacity to contribute to individualised care planning
- Professional communication skills and cooperative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork

Preferred Qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Post-graduate qualification or formal training in mental health nursing, or equivalent clinical experience
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
