Position Details

THE ROLE





The position will work within a new team to prepare for implementation and delivery of Victorian Government Redress for people who experienced abuse and neglect in historic institutional settings prior to 1990 (Victorian Redress).

Working in close collaboration with other Victorian Redress teams and applicant support services, the Counselling and Restorative Engagement team will work to operationalise and deliver the Victorian Redress model endorsed by Government. This will include delivery and of the counselling and personal apology functions of the program.

This position will play a critical role in supporting administrative and financial activities of the counselling and personal apology functions of the Victorian Redress program. As such, the Project Officer will work closely with the Senior Project Officer, Senior Engagement Officer and Counselling Services Navigator to develop and adapt policy, program documentation and processes.

The Project Officer will be required to be a strategic thinker who is able to develop and implement a range of new processes and work across multiple small and larger projects simultaneously. A high level of proficiency across a range of departmental platforms, systems, and IT software is also required

Please note: this position requires dealing with sensitive material that can be emotionally challenging; this role will best suit a candidate who has current experience dealing with sensitive and distressing material and is both resilient and empathetic.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE





- Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including supporting the development and delivery of projects or sub-projects and their successful delivery and completion within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
- Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.
