While advantageous, this role does not require any theological qualification.

Role expectations

As part of the role, your responsibilities will include:

- Belonging pathway – Oversight of our pathway steps to help integrate people into the life of our church.
- Oversight of existing Team Leaders and Teams in the Belong Area,



and establishing additional teams where needed.
- Fostering healthy community across the life of our church.
- Working in partnership with other Area Leaders to strengthen the effectiveness of our belonging pathways.
- Leading our church to ensure our belonging pathway is increasingly accessible to the diversity of people within our city.

You will support our ministry team to lead our church in our mission by:
- Being willing to engage in healthy conflict over ideas as a team member.
- Committing to implement and support the decisions of the ministry team.
- Being a humble learner, ready to seek help when needed.

You will be supported by our ministry team in your role through:
- Developing an annual ministry development plan for your personal growth and your areas of ministry responsibility.
- Monthly meeting with the Senior Minister for support and coaching.
- Weekly sharing with the staff team.

It is anticipated that this role will be further shaped around the particular desires and gifts of the suitable candidate, in consideration with those of the existing staff team. (In Working Genius categories, we would benefit most from a person strong in I/G.)

This role is 3 days/24 hours. There is a degree of flexibility with regard to work hours.

Note: We are currently advertising for two different roles (Mission & Membership), with the aim to fill one, and shuffle existing staff responsibilities to cover the other. Our priority is finding someone who would thrive within our team while complementing our strengths.
