When a customer needs fuel, timing matters. A delivery delay can leave vehicles, equipment or an entire site waiting. We're looking for an Operations Manager who enjoys bringing people, plans and practical solutions together to keep things moving.

People in Focus is recruiting for a specialist fuel delivery business based in Prestons. Supplying commercial customers with bulk fuel and in office refuelling, the business needs an experienced operator to take ownership of its delivery operation.

The opportunity
You'll be at the centre of the action, working with drivers, customers and the wider team to make sure deliveries happen safely and reliably. Plans will change. You'll have the judgement to reset priorities, solve problems and keep everyone informed.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading fuel delivery operations and coordinating driver schedules
- Planning deliveries around customer needs and available supply




- Resolving operational challenges and customer enquiries
- Supporting drivers and maintaining high safety standards
- Finding better ways to plan, communicate and deliver service

What you'll bring
You have substantial experience managing transport, fuel distribution or another time-critical delivery operation. You're confident making decisions, clear in your communication and comfortable taking responsibility when the pressure is on.

Experience in fuel delivery or dangerous goods operations would be highly regarded.
