An excellent opportunity is available for a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join an established regional service providing comprehensive women's health care to the surrounding community.

The position offers a broad scope of practice across obstetrics, general gynaecology, antenatal care, labour ward, operative obstetrics, emergency presentations and inpatient/outpatient services. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of medical, midwifery and allied health professionals, while also contributing to clinical governance, education and supervision of junior medical staff.

This role would suit a FRANZCOG looking for a varied regional practice with the prospect to maintain broad clinical skills while playing an important role in the ongoing development of the service.

The Hospital The hospital is an important regional referral facility, providing maternity, surgical, emergency and specialist services to communities across a large surrounding catchment. The Obstetrics & Gynaecology service manages a varied mix of routine and higher-acuity maternity presentations alongside general gynaecology, emergency women's health and operative services. Consultants are supported by junior medical staff, experienced midwifery teams, anaesthetics, paediatrics, theatre services and other inpatient specialties. The department offers the opportunity to practise broad-scope O&G; while contributing to teaching, supervision, clinical governance and service development within a collaborative regional team.

The Requirements

- FRANZCOG with specialist registration or are on an approved pathway with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
- UK CCT Holders ready to make the move are encouraged to apply today!

- An interest in colposcopy and/or maternal foetal medicine will be encouraged.
