About You

You are a curious and improvement-focused professional who can see how better HR services, systems and practices create a stronger employee experience. You enjoy examining how work is currently done, identifying opportunities to simplify processes and using evidence, feedback and analysis to recommend practical improvements.

With experience in project coordination, human resources, business improvement or corporate systems, you can help translate strategic People and Culture priorities into sustainable solutions. You are confident supporting system implementation and optimisation activities, including process mapping, vendor configuration, user acceptance testing, documentation, training and change communications.

You combine robust analytical and problem-solving skills with a team-oriented approach. By building productive relationships, you will help ensure improvements are well designed, successfully adopted and continue to deliver value for Council's employees and leaders.

About the position

Working across People and Culture, ICT and external vendors, you will support the implementation of people-related projects, including new and improved systems, processes and ways of working.

- Permanent full-time role based in the Toowoomba CBD.
- Salary of $98,715.48 to $102,867.25 per annum.
- Up to 65% superannuation plus 17.5% annual leave loading.

To thrive in this role, you will bring
- Qualifications in business, human resources, project management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting projects, HR practices and systems, or business improvement initiatives.
- The ability to analyse processes and identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities.
- Strong organisation and time-management skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to teamwork.
- Experience with local government corporate systems and applications would be highly regarded.
