Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).

What you'll be doing
Provide optimum sterilisation services of hospital equipment and instruments within the Central Sterilising Service Department reflective of current infection control measures and in accordance with statutory requirements and Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.

About You

You are a motivated and reliable Sterilisation Technician who is committed to delivering high-quality sterilisation services within a healthcare environment. You have completed, or are willing to complete, a Certificate III in Sterilisation Technology and demonstrate a strong commitment to developing your knowledge and skills to support best practice in instrument reprocessing and infection prevention.

You possess the ability to perform routine sterilisation duties efficiently and accurately under routine supervision, consistently following established policies, procedures and quality standards. Your attention to detail ensures that instruments and equipment are processed correctly, while your ability to maintain concentration allows you to undertake repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and consistency.

You have sound computer literacy and the capacity to quickly learn and use software programs and electronic systems associated with CSSD operations. Your willingness to embrace new technologies and processes supports effective documentation, instrument tracking and workflow management within the department.

You are flexible and adaptable, with the ability to participate in a seven-day rotating roster that includes a high proportion of afternoon shifts. Your dependable work ethic,



positive attitude and commitment to teamwork enable you to contribute effectively to a busy healthcare environment while supporting the delivery of protected, efficient and patient-focused services.
