Our client is a well known international organisation with a solid portfolio of household consumer brands. With a collaborative culture and a lean HR team, they offer the opportunity to gain exposure across a broad range of HR activities while working closely with an experienced HR leader.

This 9 month fixed term contract has been created to cover a period of parental leave and would suit someone looking to broaden their HR experience in a hands on environment.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of HR, this role sits between a Coordinator and Advisor level and offers a unique blend of payroll, safety and generalist HR responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

- Processing monthly and fortnightly payroll
- Managing payroll enquiries and payroll administration
- Coordinating health and safety initiatives, workers compensation and return to work processes
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding activities
- Assisting with employee engagement initiatives and surveys
- Acting as the first point of contact for employee queries
- Preparing HR documentation, reports and presentations
- Supporting learning and development activities and wider HR projects
- Assisting with general office coordination and administration

Working within a small HR team, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of people initiatives and continue building your generalist HR capability.

About you
You may be an experienced HR Coordinator ready to step into a broader role, or a junior HR Advisor looking to further develop your generalist skillset.
To be successful, you'll bring:

- Previous experience in HR and/or payroll
- Payroll processing experience
- Exposure to workplace health and safety activities




- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A proactive and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A willingness to get involved across a variety of HR activities
