About the role:

Frontline Support Services is looking for a senior analyst who enjoys solving complex organisational problems to work within the Innovation stream of the project.

The Frontline Support Services (FSS) project is an initiative that realigns defined administrative, procedural and preparatory tasks from frontline police to a dedicated support workforce of Frontline Support Officers (FSOs). FSS operates as a division of Continuous Improvement, Uplift, and Technology, and its ultimate mission is to return capacity to frontline members for patrol, response, visible policing and active investigation.

The project has so far established the FSS operating model, recruited and deployed a growing workforce of FSOs, and set in place comprehensive monitoring to ensure that the anticipated benefits of the initiative are realised. The Innovation stream is responsible for continuous improvement of the Frontline Support Services model, guiding it from establishment through to maturity and expansion and driving process improvement.

The Senior Business Analyst's role will be to turn data into insights, recommendations, and decisions to support the FSS Innovation stream's program of work. The role sits at the intersection of operational policing, organisational design, data analytics, technology, workforce planning, and continuous improvement.

Your duties will include:

- Designing and undertaking research, evaluation, and analysis to support organisational reform
- Translating complex evidence into concise, actionable advice for senior decision-makers
- Designing practical solutions that improve frontline service delivery
- Analysing quantitative and qualitative data using a range of tools
- Developing reports, dashboards, and performance measures
- Facilitating workshops and engaging stakeholders to understand business problems
- Mapping and redesigning business processes
- Identifying opportunities to automate or simplify administrative work
- Preparing briefing papers, presentations, and governance documentation
- Evaluating the outcomes of projects against stated objectives
- Working across multiple projects with competing priorities.

About You:

The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:





- Demonstrated experience in undertaking formal evaluation of government projects of considerable scale
- Demonstrated capability in using systems such as PowerBI, SAS, or Excel to produce data-driven insights
- Demonstrated ability to interpret statistical information to identify and explain trends, patterns, and issues
- Excellent conceptual, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with a capacity to independently develop and author research papers, briefing notes, reports and correspondence

Further Information:

- One (1) x full-time, fixed-term position available
- This position is located at Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.
