Shelford Campus

Opening in 2027 in the heart of Caulfield, Shelford Campus will be the newest Junior School of Caulfield Grammar School. The campus will initially offer exceptional education for students in Prep and Years 4-6, before progressively growing into a full Prep to Year 6 Junior School. This represents a once-in-a-career opportunity for a founding team to shape the culture and community from the ground up, delivering high-impact learning in purpose-built facilities.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape the Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) and Vacation Care program at our current Shelford Campus. As a member of the foundation team, you will play a pivotal role in creating a safe, engaging and high-quality program that enriches students' learning and wellbeing beyond the school day.

Reporting to the Deputy Head of Campus, the OSHC Team Leader will oversee the day-to-day operation of the OSHC and Vacation Care programs, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, engagement and care. You will provide leadership to team members supporting the program while driving program development, continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of policies and procedures aligned with School priorities and regulatory requirements.

Working collaboratively with students, families, staff and the broader school community, you will create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can learn, play and thrive. As a founding member of the Shelford Campus team, you will help establish a vibrant and sustainable OSHC program that reflects the values and vision of Caulfield Grammar School.

This is a 12-month, fixed-term position,



commencing at the start of 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the day-to-day delivery of the OSHC and Vacation Care programs, ensuring a safe, engaging and high-quality experience for students.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to OSHC educators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Develop, implement and evaluate engaging programs aligned with the school's educational goals and My Time, Our Place (MTOP) framework.
- Maintain policies, procedures and quality improvement plans to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Law and School policies.
- Establish and maintain health and safety protocols, including risk management, incident reporting and emergency procedures.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, staff and community organisations to enhance program participation and outcomes.
- Manage bookings, enrolments and cancellations, ensuring effective communication with families.
- Support budgeting, resource management, billing processes and administrative requirements associated with program delivery.
- Undertake the responsibilities of Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader.
- Assist with staff recruitment, induction, professional development and performance support.
- Uphold the School's commitment to Child Safety, ensuring the wellbeing, safety and dignity of all students at all times.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Diploma of Early Childhood Education, Diploma of School Age Education and Care, Bachelor of Education or another ACECQA-approved qualification.
- Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Management qualifications.
- Current Employment Working with Children Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.




- Demonstrated leadership experience within an Out of School Hours Care setting.
- Proven experience developing, implementing and evaluating quality care programs.
- Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and relevant legislation.
- Experience leading teams and fostering collaboration to achieve consistent outcomes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with children, families and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, professional growth and educational innovation.
