As a Cyber Security Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and security of Queensland Health’s enterprise Secure Web Gateway (SWG) platform. You will apply your technical expertise to maintain service availability, implement improvements, and provide high-level support to stakeholders across the organisation. Working hands-on with the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access platform, you will ensure secure, efficient, and high-quality access to internet services for thousands of users, helping to protect sensitive health information and enable modern healthcare delivery.

What you'll do

- Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other staff within the branch to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels across the branch.
- Provide high level technical skills in the analysis of IT system issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and
- Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery, preferably with the ITIL framework.
- Ensure end to end service delivery, availability, and performance of enterprise systems within Queensland

About you

We are searching for someone who has:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and apply Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) processes based on the ITIL framework, particularly incident, problem, change, release, and configuration (SFIA Code: ITMG 5, USUP 4; PBMG 5; CHMG 4)




- Demonstrated technical expertise and experience in some of the following technology domains to analyse ICT system issues, and contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements. (SFIA Code: SYSP 4; TECH 4, HSIN 5)
- Palo Alto Secure Web Gateway (SWG) Solutions
- Network Firewalls; g. Checkpoint or Cisco
- Network Security; IPS, Antivirus, Antimalware
- Load Balancing and Clustering, NAT
- External Access, Site to Site and Agile VPN's, Citrix, VDI
- Forward and Reverse Proxy configuration and implementations

- Demonstrated ability to provide high level of technical expertise to provide technical direction, standardisation, professional advice and support of enterprise infrastructure in a large customer focus organisation
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable effective interaction in individual and group situations and the ability to maintain relevant registers and develop reports for management. (NHS Effective and Strategic influencing - SFIA Code RLMT 4)
- Ability to meet service delivery targets and implement quantifiable service improvements by coordinating multiple tasks within agreed priorities, time frames and working unsupervised. (NHS Drive for Results)
- Proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members and (NHS: Collaborative Working)
