This role will work closely with a complex range of stakeholders to provide decision support services to assist management to drive financial and commercial performance and improvement.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Finance Officer to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Support the Divisional Finance Manager and Principal Divisional Finance Officer to deliver meaningful budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and reports
- provide decision support for negotiation, reporting and amendment processes
- Assist in the development and maintenance of procedures for the capturing of cost and pricing data
- Work collaboratively with Executives and the Management Accounting Team to identify variances and performance issues and develop strategies to manage them

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- While not mandatory, a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance or Commerce would be well regarded.
- While not mandatory, an understanding of the regulatory environment and context in which a statutory body and health service works would be well regarded.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $96,363 - $106,160 per annum

The Division is made up of Divisional Finance Teams, Financial Reporting and Compliance, Financial Performance and Procurement & Contract Management. This role is based within the Divisional Finance Team for Corporate 2 Services.
