About Our Client

Our client is a well-established engineering and maintenance services provider supporting the mining, resources, and heavy industrial sectors across Queensland. With a solid reputation for delivering high-quality workmanship and reliable solutions, they specialise in shutdowns, maintenance, fabrication, abrasive blasting, and protective coating services.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Blaster Painters to join a well-known organisation at Hay Point through WorkPac, working on an 8-week shutdown within a structured roster and safety-focused industrial environment.

What You Will Be Doing:

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and abrasive blasting.

Removing rust, scale, grease, and existing coatings from equipment and structures.

Operating sandblasting and painting equipment safely and efficiently.

Applying protective coatings and industrial paint using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.

Mixing paints and coatings to the required colour, consistency, and specifications.

Ensuring coatings are applied to the required thickness and quality standards.

Inspecting completed work and completing touch-ups where required.

Maintaining and cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas.

Working from drawings, specifications, and job instructions.

Following all site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental controls.

Working effectively as part of a team in a heavy industrial environment.

What You Will Need:

Minimum 3 years industry experience as a Blaster Painter / Painter Blaster.

Relevant Trade Certification.

Current Drivers Licence.

Current White Card.

Willingness to undergo required pre-employment checks.

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.





Ability to work effectively within a rotating day and night shift roster.

Working at Heights certification is desirable.
