The purpose of the role is to lead the Management Accounting Team in delivering consistent high-quality outputs that are central to the administration and prospective management of Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service’s service agreement with the Department of Health.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Manager (Management Accounting) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern Recent South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Provide quality assurance and business advice to Project Managers and Service Directors
- Lead consultation processes with a range of internal and external stakeholders to identify and quantify future financial implications
- Develop policies and procedures to support a strong internal financial control environment
- Ensure budget alignment with the strategic and operational objectives of the Hospital and Health Service

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Business, Finance or Commerce is mandatory for this position.
- A relevant accounting professional qualification equivalent to CPA or CA is mandatory.
- An understanding of the regulatory environment and context in which a statutory body and health service works would be we regarded.
- A good understanding of, or the ability to quickly grasp the contestability environment would be advantageous.
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Permanent full time
- Base salary ranging from $160,092 - $169,398 per annum

The Financial Services Division supports Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service by providing expert and timely financial services. The Division is made up of Financial Control, Financial Performance and Strategic Procurement unit. This role is based within the Financial Control unit.
